Human Factors in Safety Critical Organisations
Trainers Course
A human factors approach to safety differs from traditional safety training in that the focus is less with the technical knowledge and skills required to perform specific tasks, but rather with the cognitive and interpersonal skills needed to effectively manage a team-based, high-risk activity.
Employees recognise that human error is inevitable and that cooperative and collaborative teams are the greatest asset to achieving safety and high reliability in complex or hazardous work environments. At all levels there should be an understanding of the human causes of error and an ability to take a proactive approach to the avoidance, trapping and mitigating of errors
The course emphasises developing the facilitation skills which are crucial to effective Human Factors training. The training develops the required knowledge and skills to enable the participant to deliver effective, practical HF training which addresses the specific nature of their company’s operations and procedures.
This course is available at our training centre in the UK and can also be delivered as an in-company course for your organisation at your location.
